I Got My Wish!
I had worked hard and long to earn money for a horse my grandma helped me and encoureged me. When I finally earned enough money to earn one my grandma gave me the news paper and showed me this add it read "chestnut gelding for sale cheap sweet horse." I was so happy we called the woman and told her we were interested in her horse so we set up a time to come over and look at the horse. It was in three days I remember all the work I put into those few days to get redy. On the morning we were supposed to go look at the horse grandma got a phone call and she told me we couldn't go see the horse I was heart broken she said she was going to be on a game show and I was coming with her. I thought that was the absoulotely worst day of my life. When we got to the game show grandma walked on stage answered question after question it seemed like it took fore ever then the last question came she answered and..............She Won! Then I saw the prize a chestnut gelding! I was so surprised then grandma told me it was my horse and to come on up and get it that was the happiest day of my life.
contributed by Beth When I was Little i had a little pony named penny she was the sweetest thing she stood only 12.1 hands h8igh she looked like a fuzz ball in the winter! I always rode her in the snow she had a bad habbit of rolling in the snow when she had a saddle on. A few days after the snow melted I went to a show she won 2nd and3rd place in the first round! then it came to jumping there was a unusual jump it was supposed to be water but it was just shavings penny must ave thought it was snow beacause she started to bend her knees so she could lay down and roll! I tried really hard to pull her head up but I couldn't she was almost all the way down when our dog FuFu jumped into the ring and barked at penny imeadietley she jerked her head up and did the course beautifully we got 1st place! it was really exciting!And my dog got quite the royal treatment when we got home! THIS IS SOMETHING THAT REALLY HAPPEND TO ME!
On my birthday it was cold and rainy. As always, I was sick. My mom and dad told me that it was going to be a great birthday. I didn't understand why they thought that it was going to be such a great birthday if I was sick. Later, I asked my parents if i could open some of my presents. they said that I could open a couple. The first present I opened was a zebra striped saddle pad. The second present that I got was a nice saddle that I had asked for so I could use my own saddle when I rode even though I didn't have a horse. Then my parents said that they would take me to go take my stuff down to the stable that I rode at to put my stuff in my tack trunk. The whole drive to the stable my parents seemed so happy it was disgusting! It is one thing to be happy on your daughters birthday when she is well but it is another thing to be happy on your daughters birthday when she is sick as a horse with colic. When we got to the stable my parents and I went in the stable to put the stuff away. After I put my stuff away they went over to pet a horse with a card on it's stall door. The said "Ellie who's horse is this ?" i told them, "I don't know, it looks like a new horse."
They told me to cheak the card and when I did I jumped up in the air screaming because it was my horse!
